St. Louis de Montfort considered himself a "slave" to the Virgin Mary, and he wore chains on his arms and feet as a token of his dedication and love for her.
He recommended that those who complete the 33-day Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary and make the Act of Total Consecration should wear an outward sign as a reminder and expression of their "holy slavery" to Our Lady.
This is my modern take on the chains St. Louis de Montfort was referring to.
This bracelet is to be a reminder of the commitments made in your consecration and that you should not be ashamed of being a servant of Jesus, rejecting the bonds of the world, sin, and the devil!
*Bracelet comes with a 1/2" extender to add variety in length.
Even though I said “almost” perfect, I am still giving 5 stars because I like it so much. I’ve worn other consecration bracelets before but this one is just right -delicate but sturdy, and so beautiful.
I am having a little difficulty with mine currently but am confident that it will be remedied shortly!
Excited when this Lovely bracelet arrived! Perfect size and durable quality. Beautiful reminder of my journey through total consecration, Queenship of Mary. Highly recommend it, you’ll love it too!
The bracelet is a lovely reminder of my consecration to Our Lady. I ordered the largest size although I have a small wrist. I prefer it loose. Also I take it off for showering otherwise it will lose it’s beautiful gold color.
